Hello everyone!  Its been quite a hectic hurricane season here in lower Louisiana, but nevertheless, I am still here!  When I got back from my evacuation from Gustav, you would think I walked into a mansion when walking back into my hot home... but was so glad to be back in it with no damage.  I felt like I was re-living a nightmare!  I can't tell you the feeling of sitting in a hotel room just waiting and watching and waiting.  You have to remember, oh hey, I got to go to the bathroom!  But, I am still here.  I can't imagine being anywhere else really.
On a good note.... As you can see, I've got my new site layout up and boy does it describe me!  The goodlooking guy on the top right with the trumpet is, you guessed it, my Dad... I still miss him.  Sorry to say, but the longing to hang with him just never goes away.
Well, remember to thank God for all he allows you to keep everyday and for everyday he gives to you and that theres no place like home!!  Hold it in the road, even if it is the emergency lane!!!

Its been a while since I've written and a lot has passed. This has been a rough 4 years, but still am thankfull for the little bundle of joy, now almost 4, that God sent me to be my brightest light amist the darkness.
I still care for Mom, been working with the band, took a glorious trip to New York, and have managed to add a little more clientle to my hair business!  I have added a few new designs to the store, now dabbling a little into copper these days.  I'm ready for the next level though.  I'm going to pop up with that mega design yet!  Until then...... I continue to toil.
Don't give up on me yet!  I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm still around, keeping on keeping on, and just won't quit..... God Bless and have a wonderful Memorial Day!  May God Bless our boys in Iraq and bring them home soon to their loved ones.  Lets continue to pray for them all......

Well, Its been 3 months since Dad passed away and now my Mom isn't well.  She just can't adjust to life without Dad especially after 57 years together.  I haven't been able to keep up with everything, especially having little Harmony demanding my attention!  But, I am getting along.  This to shall pass.....  I'll have pictures of new designs coming for fall.  I am late as usual, I know.  Keep my Mother, Beverly Liberto, in your prayers please.  Thank you and God Bless and keep you.   Mishell

What a tragic week this was for our family.  On July 2, 2007, Monday, I lost my Father, Roy A. Liberto, to Liver Cancer.  He was diagnosed on May 15th 2007 and passed just 7 weeks later on July 2nd 2007.  He is a long time Jazz trumpeter great of this great city of New Orleans.  I will do a memorial tribute to my Father in the months to come in honor of his spectacular talented life.  Our family will miss him greatly.......

I've got some great new items getting ready to list.  Also, I've got a few really great bargins on ebay, but I haven't figured out how to link it from my website yet.  Basically I haven't found the HTML code to do it.  I looked everywhere.  Its probably going to be right under my nose!!  Well, my old gal ZuZu is doing better and the Rugrat is fine now.  I'm much closer to my Road Home moneys, but still don't have it in my hands yet.  So far its only taken 7 months...... 7 months I'm living like "a mess".  I can't even imagine these other poor guys living in these broken down FEMA trailers for this long.  Talk about junk!!  They are literally falling apart at the seams.  And the mold problem??  People are safer living in the molded homes rather than these trailers!  I'll be glad to see people getting out of those things.  Its hard when you can't get your money to rebuild fast enough.  Well, enough about the depression issue,  I thank God for what I do have everyday.  And thats all that I can do is pray for this to get better.  Hope everyone is good.  Look for the new deals and hold whatever it is in the road, to somewhere!!  Diva

Feb. 21, 2007 Wednesday

Well now that Mardi Gras is behind us, its time to get serious again..... no seriously!  This year Mardi Gras was sooooo much better than last year.   We've still not gotten back up to pre-Katrina numbers on attendance yet, but its getting there.  The crowds were great, the weather was great most of the time, and the violence was at a minimum, which is great too!  I'm glad to see the party goes on and what a party it was.  I've got some new pieces coming out within the next day or so, great new earrings and necklaces.  Lately my little toy poodle "Zu Zu" dislocated her hip, she's an old gal, and I have been taking care of her, Harmony, my little girl, got sick with a bad cold and her first ear infection, then I got it trying to take care of everyone.  Needless to say the whole house was sick!  But I'm feeling much better now, and I'm going to resume calling the Road Home Program to see about how much longer they intend on keeping my money to finish my home repairs.  I'm a woman on a mission!!  Well, hold it in the road, and hopefully the road will lead to somewhere!!   Diva

I can honestly say, what a year that was!!  I pray this year is a lot smoother and kinder to my pocket book and my home.....  I'm still waiting for our federal money to finish rebuilding my house.  We're still nowhere near finished.  You just can't imagine, working on two years since the storm.  I'm doing a lot of painting for the next few weeks so I'm probably only going to do these special orders I have flying at me for now, but you never now what kind of mood I might be in.  Hold it in the road.........Diva

Christmas parties and all.  I've also been doing  mega hairdo's at the salons too.  Christmas is such a Diva'ed up event!  But lets always remember to keep "Christ" in "Christ"mas.  Its the real reason for this joyous season.  I really believe through him, all things are possible.  Believe, it works!  Well I'd like to wish everyone a beautiful and blessed Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!    Diva.....

Wow!!! What a week!!  The whole family stood in a wedding Saturday, then my first mega jewelry party was the next day on Sunday at 1:00 pm.  Talk about pooped!!  But I have to say, It was fantastically fabulous!!  The turnout was spectacular and my sales were Super!!  Looks like we'll be getting the insulation under the house now!! Weeeeeeee.... no more cold floors and aching legs, back, neck and feet!  I'll pay the bills later.......
Anyway, I just wanted to say to everyone who came, thank you from the tippy top to the very bottom of our hearts for all of your patronage and support.  It was a wonderful feeling to hear those beautiful compliments about my work!  I never would have believed you liked them that much.  It felt great changing the inventory on the site and not even being able to put some of the newer things I made on the site at all being that they were already sold out!  What an event!  Thanks again everyone, your the best!!
Well, its back to the workstation for me, I never like to let the creative juices dry up ya know........ Take care and hold it in the road......Diva

Nov.10, 2006 Friday Night

Hey everyone!!   I'll make it short and sweet tonight.  I've got band rehearsal.  The hubby's unloading equipment then frying up some fish, sounds good eh... then we're going to open up some oysters, or as us people here down south say, "ersters"!  We're getting ready for a gig next weekend and have a few good tunes to get tight before we play them out.
I've added some more goodies, I try to add at least 10 everyday until I catch up, and I'm almost there.  I've also made some new pieces but need to take pictures of them.  I'm gearing up for my first big jewelry show!  I'm really excited, and hope to see all of you guys, whoevers here in town, at the party.  Well, hold it in the road, as an old beloved best friend used to tell me.  See ya later bye!!    Diva

Nov. 5, 2006 Sunday Night

Well, I just finished entering in some more really cool sets and bracelets, ya'll check 'em out.  I also put up a lot of really cutesy Cell phone Charms.  I'm having a couple of upload problems with one cell charm pic.  But I'll figure it out tomorrow.
Harmony's Birthday Party was a huge success!  Boy did she have a lot of fun!  She loves her new bumper car her Paran got her, not to mention all the new microphones to sing in!  Ya know she's got to practice up for American Idol she's only got about 15 years to practice.... Well, I'm beat, hope everyone had a great weekend, I know Harmony did!  See ya later bye!

Nov. 2, 2006, Thursday Night

I can't believe I'm still entering in products for the site!!  Wow, I can't believe I made all this stuff!  Its amazing what happens when you can't afford Xanex or Prozac!!  Yep, its great therapy for me.  I have to blame all my jewelry stock on the Hurricane basically destroying my whole way of normal living.  Its really great when you get a little thing return, like seeing a new leaf on a plant of a tree you'd thought was dead from the flood, or a coffee shop opening for business, so what if its the only one in the whole parish!  I really missed that hot cup of Joe on my way in to work on Saturdays. Maybe this time next year I won't even think much about what happened and the way we lived for a long while.  Well, enough crazy talk!!  But then again I'm just like everybody else who lives around here, and thats a lot of crazy people!!! This time two years ago I was giving birth to my little girl Harmony.  That was an event I'll say!!  She's my bright light in my tunnel ya know.  Tomorrow we celebrate number 2.  She almost can hold up 2 fingers at the same time... she's a little uncoordinated getting just 2 up, it ends up three fingers, but she says two really good though!  I'll post her birthday pic for y'all to see. Well, keep checking back to the site for all the new things I'm adding everyday, and night for that matter....See ya later bye..... Diva

October 31,2006, Tuesday

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Well, I'm still uploading my jewels to the site, and trying to figure out how to do this as I go.  Its a lot of work!!  I'm really excited about this whole store deal, we're really hoping it takes off nicely.  I've got so much going on right now. Isn't it funny how everything has to happen all at once, the same time, man!  I'm still working on my home, which I'll post some pics for you guys to see what exactly I'm working on and what it looked like after Hurricane Katrina, I've got Christmas weddings to make jewelry sets for and to play music for.  My little girl, Harmony, turns 2 years old Friday, Nov. 3rd, and we're having a little party. The whole family is standing in a wedding this month and I still need to hem my dress and find ballerina slippers for Harmony and fix her dress, not to mention make 7 bridesmaids and 6 flower girls jewelry sets too. Oh and did I mention my first jewelry show party on the 26th of Nov., the day after the wedding we're standing in. Whew!!! I'll be glad when this month is past!! Yep!   Well, its back to the web upload for me...... I'm actually enjoying it, since my sister-in-law has Harmony over there for her entertainment!!  Take care everyone............Diva
