Starting out as a "Diva" at the wee age of 8 years old, creativity was a must in my life. I have been singing for 34 years, sewing for 20 years, hairdressing for 17 years, so it was only a matter of time to which I would start to create my designs in jewelry. I discovered by using handmade Lampwork beads created by Artists around the globe I was able to distinguish my jewelry and truly mark them as originals. I have become fascinated by these little works of art. Each bead is so unique and original its virtually impossible to create another just like it. To me I like wearing items that no one else will have in their possession. I believe we are all uniquely different and should dress and accessorise that way too! Unless your a twin of course! Being a performer for many years, this was a very important point, as I am the center of attention at most of my singing engagements (gigs) and there is nothing more embarrassing then to have someone walk in with the same outfit or jewelry on for that matter as you! Told you I was a Diva! But I am a humble one, and I love to be around people, talk to people, help people feel good about themselves and in return I am rewarded to feel good too!
I am a native New Orleanian or should I say close to it. I live in a small "Parish" town called Saint Bernard in Louisiana where we are famous for our wonderful cooking and seafood industry. Recently hit pretty hard by hurricane Katrina, we are now in the process of rebuilding our industry's and our lives. This is home to me for 40 years and wouldn't be able to call another place so. So I remain and rebuild. I come from a musically talented family with my Great Grandfather being a Opera Singer in Italy and my Father a Jazz Trumpeter in the Famous French Quarter of New Orleans, where I began singing at age 8 with him. I know have a beautiful little girl named Harmony and a wonderfully supportive husband Glynn. My home was partially destroyed by 13 feet of floodwaters in Katrina, but I am happy to say its coming together slowly, but nicely. Being a hairdresser of 17 years, I specialize in color and being a painter I use that eye most frequently. In designing jewelry I especially love to use fun and different coordinating colors. And almost always, this being the Diva in me use Swarovski Crystal in most of my designs. I love the sparkle, but most Diva'ish girley girls do!
